Drycleaners of the Soul explores how queer individuals are used by societies across the world to process dangerous and difficult emotions through ritual action. Taking this approach as the starting point, R Aslan proposes to explore the social function of the queer in order to understand it as a tradition.

Below are the photos from the event that Aslan hosted at Flutgraben, where the participants could experience the practice. The guests were invited to bring a gift to the altar and to then whisper their wish into Aslan’s ear. Exactly at midnight they could come back to take a ritual object and to light a candle to make their wish come true.
