AI

CIRCADIAN is a Berlin-based independent publishing house founded in 2017. Our mission is to inscribe the imaginary into the real: we only publish books that call the reader to action.

We have recently launched a system, in collaboration with InfraNodus and Nodus Labs, that enables readers to interact with the books we publish through an AI-powered text/voice chat interface, Telegram messenger, or a knowledge graph.

Readers can ask questions about the books, explore the practices they propose, see how the concepts of one book reflect in another, combine practices, and discover how they resonate with their own ideas and lives.

We believe this is an exciting new way to bring books to life and ensure that the underlying practices are accessible to both natural and artificial intelligence. Generative writing and reading can become a new format that has the potential to engage readers in completely new ways.

To explore how this system works, use the widget at the bottom right of this page.

You can also explore how it works for specific books by clicking on a book’s icon at our webshop: circadian.co/shop

Another example of this system for a collection of books published by an author is available at polysingularity.com/category/books/ (it includes voice chat).

If you’re interested in setting up a similar system for your publishing house or books, please, write to us at ai@circadian.co for a quote or follow the steps below if you would like to do it yourself.

We offer publishers the ability to maintain full control of their content rights while making certain aspects of their books available to readers and providing engaging new ways to interact with them.

Basic AI Setup for Book Publishers

In order to set up a similar system, you will need:

  • an InfraNodus account used for storing and visualizing the book’s content as an AI-powered knowledge graph
  • an n8n account for creating AI workflows
  • an ElevenLabs account for creating a voice chat
  • an OpenAI API / Google Gemini AI account for setting up AI agents workflow
  • optional: a Telegram account for setting up Telegram bots
  • optional: use NotebookLM to set up conversational podcasts based on your books
  • use the www.popupchat.dev tool to set up a pop-up widget on your website

Once you set these accounts up, you can follow this tutorial provided by our partners Nodus Labs:
